Louise Scarborough

Funeral services for Louise Scarborough, 79, of Lufkin will be held Saturday, September 13, 2025 at 11:00 a.m. in the Carroway Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will follow in the Fielder Memorial Cemetery.

Mrs. Scarborough was born July 30, 1946 in Lufkin, Texas to the late Lucille (Ellison) and Earl Burl “Buster” Williams, and died Tuesday, September 9, 2025 at her residence.

Louise was a lifelong resident of Lufkin and was a member of Jubilee Baptist Church in Diboll. She was a loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother and spent her life caring for her family. She enjoyed gardening, spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, as well as spending time with her dogs.

Survivors include her daughters, Vickie Benoit of Kilgore, Theresa Spears of Lufkin; grandchildren, Regan Benoit, Drew Spears, Haley Spears, Brooke Spears, Seth Scarborough, Levi Scarborough, Lexi Scarborough, Dee Cator Scarborough; eight great-grandchildren; brother and sister-in-law, Raymond and Diane Williams of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma; and several nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, M.D. Scarborough; son, M. D. “Dee” Scarborough, Jr.; and brother, Dale Williams.

Pallbearers will be Matthew Moreno, Tyler Eldridge, Jose Luna, Shane Hannah, Jamie Hannah, and Charles Bray.

The family will welcome friends and loved ones from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m. Saturday morning prior to the service.
