Lou Willie (Green) Lewis

Memorial services for Lou Willie Green Lewis, 88, of Nacogdoches will be held Tuesday, March 12, 2024 at 1:00 p.m. at Pleasant Hill Missionary Baptist Church in Nacogdoches with Brother Homer Murray officiating. Cremation arrangements are under the direction of Carroway Funeral Home.

Ms. Lewis was born April 25, 1935 in Nacogdoches, Texas to the late Velma and Jerry Green, and died Friday, February 23, 2024 in a Nacogdoches hospital.

Ms. Lewis loved taking care of her family. She had such a sweet soul and was loved by everyone. She will be dearly missed.

Survivors include  her son, David Lewis; daughter, Donna Lewis and friend James Rodrigues; grandchildren, Dana Van Tassel and family, Jake Rodrigues and fiancée Jennifer Wright, Casey Edwards, Amanda Lewis and family, Ashley Lewis and family, Ross Lewis and family; sister, Maxine Strong, and numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives.

She was preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Virgil Green and Marvin Green; and sister, Betty Russell.

The family will welcome friends and loved ones from 12:00 to 1:00 p.m. Tuesday afternoon prior to the service.
