Funeral services for Lottie B. Redd, 99, of Lufkin will be held Saturday, August 15, 2026 at 2:00 p.m. in the Carroway Funeral Home Chapel with Jim McDonald and Kyle Campbell officiating. Interment will follow at the Garden of Memories Memorial Park.

Lottie B. Redd passed away Tuesday, August 11, 2026. She was born June 1, 1927, in Black Rock, Arkansas, to the late Mildred Betty (Young) and Morris Davis. Lottie was devoted to her job and happily retired from TXU Electric after 25 years of dedicated service.

Lottie lived a life grounded in faith, family, and love. She was deeply devoted to her relationship with the Lord and to her church family at Loop 287 church of Christ, where she was an active and faithful member. Her quiet nature was matched by a strong and dependable spirit, and she was always willing to lend a helping hand to those she loved.

She and her beloved husband, Cecil, enjoyed traveling together in their RV and making memories as they explored new places. She was a member of the Lufkin Good Sam Chapter, where she found pleasure in camping, games and outdoor fellowship. At home, Lottie found joy working in her yard and tending to her garden, taking great pride in the beauty she created with her own hands. She was also a member of the Flower Garden Club.

Family was at the heart of Lottie’s life. She especially treasured time with her grandchildren and was always there whenever someone needed her. She was known for her generosity and caring nature, giving freely of her time and love without hesitation. She enjoyed gathering with family and friends for a good game of Hand and Foot and took pride in always keeping her hair and nails beautifully done.

Lottie may have been a woman of few words, but her love was evident in the way she lived. She was a steady presence, someone her family could always depend on, and her kindness touched the lives of many. Her faith, strength, and love will remain a lasting part of the memories shared by all who knew and loved her.

She is survived by her daughter, Marsha Burge of Lufkin; son, Steve Redd of Lufkin; granddaughters, Leslie and husband Wade Thibault of Conroe, Lori and husband Stephen Cheatham of Kingwood; grandsons, Nick Burge of Houston and Luke and wife Abby Redd of Crosby; 10 great-grandchildren; sister-in-law, Sue Davis of Amarillo, Barbara Davis of Lufkin, Marlene Davis of Rockwall, and Diane Davis of Lufkin; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Cecil E. Redd; granddaughter, Windi McClung; brothers, James M. Davis, Charles Richard Davis, Wayne C. Davis, D. Darrell Davis, John P. Davis, and Ronnie M. Davis; and nieces, Autumn Davis Homer and Jill Davis Goad.

Pallbearers will be Nick Burge, Luke Redd, Ricky Davis, Mike Davis, Matt Davis and Brian Davis.

Honorary pallbearers are Jim Davis, David Davis and Kalin McClung.

The family will welcome friends and loved ones from 1:00 to 2:00 p.m. Saturday afternoon prior to the service.
