Funeral services for Lois Faye Parish Jones, 94, of Huntington will be held Saturday, April 26, 2025 at 11:00 a.m. in the Carroway Funeral Home Chapel in Lufkin with Brother Robert Douglas Jones and Brother Daniel Scott Price officiating. Interment will follow in the Zavalla Cemetery.

Lois passed away on Sunday, April 20, 2025, in Lufkin, Texas. She was born on May 20, 1930, in Burke, Texas, to Robert Elzie and Verna Lee (Jackson) Parish and lived an abundant life filled with family, friends and faith. She was a 1948 graduate of Zavalla High School followed by Satterwhite Business College. On August 15, 1952, she married the love of her life, Robert J. Jones, and raised five children. She retired from Champion International in 1993.

She was a member of Huntington First Baptist Church where she volunteered at the church’s food bank and library. She also taught Sunday School classes at Calvary Baptist and Providence Baptist for many years. Following the death of her husband, she began a personal support ministry for widows and continued it through Christmas of 2024. She was a passionate follower of her children’s, grandchildren’s and great-grandchildren’s events and was a master at jigsaw and crossword puzzles.

She is survived by her children, Rhonda and Doyle Haynes of Lufkin, Judy and Keith Carrell of Huntington, Doug and Lisa Jones of Bryan, Carol Mullikin of Katy, Angie and Richard Ivy of Huntington; and daughters-in-love, Randi Stringer Olsen of McKinney and Ann Sillers of Lufkin; grandchildren, Jennifer Parker, Shelly Havard, Nick Lawrence and Megan Guidry of Hudson, Keisha Carrell of The Woodlands, Robert Hobbs of Dallas, Jessica and Justin DeLeon and Christopher and Lauren Jones of Iola, Hannah and Jacob Brock of Colorado Springs, Colorado, Garret Mullikin of Katy, Robert Ivy of Santa Fe, Caitlyn and Dustin Dooling of Hutto, Cassidy and Colton Wynne, Carsyn Ivy and Justin Rodgers, all of Huntington; 27 great-grandchildren; seven great-great-grandchildren; sister, Maxine Manley of Lufkin; brothers-in-law, Bobby Harrison of Nacogdoches, Mel Price of Tyler, Hubert “Hoody” Morris of Central, and Kenneth “Red” Duke of Lufkin; and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Robert J. Jones; granddaughter, Sara Hobbs; siblings, Dorothy Harrison, Robert “Sonny” Parish, Mary Duke, Betty Price, Peggy Morris and Don Manley.

Pallbearers will be her grandsons, Nick Lawrence, Robert Ivy, Christopher Jones, Garret Mullikin, Colton Wynne, and great-grandson, Jake Havard.

Honorary pallbearers will be her grandsons, Robert Hobbs, Dustin Dooling, Jacob Brock, Justin Rodgers, Justin DeLeon, and great-grandsons, Hunter Parker, Will Carnes, and Cayden Ivy.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the American Heart Association, P.O. Box 840692, Dallas, Texas 75284-0692 or the Huntington First Baptist Church Food Bank, 702 N. Main Street, Huntington, Texas 75949.

The family will welcome friends and loved ones from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. Friday evening at the funeral home in Lufkin.
