Funeral services for Linda Jo Tullos, 78, of Apple Springs will be held Sunday, September 7, 2025 at 2:00 p.m. in the Carroway Funeral Home Chapel with Keith Jones officiating. Interment will follow in the Johnson-Tullos Cemetery in Apple Springs.
Mrs. Tullos was born January 28, 1947 in Apple Springs, Texas, to the late Lillie May (Rogers) and A.J. Tullos, and died Wednesday, September 3, 2025 at her residence.
Mrs. Tullos was a lifetime resident of Apple Springs. She was valedictorian of her graduating class at Apple Springs High School. She loved sports and played basketball during her high school years and received a basketball scholarship. Mrs. Tullos ranched alongside her husband for 57 years. She loved feeding and tending to their cows. She was a great cook and worked in her mother-in-law’s café and Lufkin Dealers Auto Auction cooking her exceptional burgers. Mrs. Tullos loved playing volleyball and dancing. Mrs. Tullos was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother. She adored her grandchildren and enjoyed watching her grandsons rodeo, as well as attending all the grandchildren’s activities. Her grandsons could talk her into going on any adventure they wanted to do. Mrs. Tullos loved the Lord and was strong in her faith and was a longtime member of Centralia Church of Christ.
Survivors include her daughters and sons-in-law, Vicki Ann and John Arriola of Hudson, Debbie and Phillip Reynolds of Silverton, and Leslie and Jerry Cook of Alto; grandchildren and spouses, Sha and Jeremy Hyde, Wes and Lynsey Avery, Chayce and Callie Jo Holcombe, Chance and Tristyn Holcombe, Logan and Madison Cook, Landon Cook, and Rye Reynolds; great-grandchildren, Riggin Hyde, Reina Hyde, Roan Avery, and Miles Cook; sister, Lois Odom of Apple Springs; brother, Roy Lynn Tullos of Arkansas; special friend, Clay Kenley of Crockett and numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband of 57 years, Joe Bob Tullos in 2022; and sisters, Kathleen Elliott and Carolyn Due.
Pallbearers will be grandsons: Wes Avery, Chayce Holcombe, Chance Holcombe, Logan Cook, Rye Reynolds, Riggin Hyde, and Landon Cook.
The family will welcome friends and loved ones from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Saturday evening at the funeral home.
