Linda Marie (Sponer) Nystrom

Memorial services for Linda Marie (Sponer) Nystrom, 52, of Lufkin will be held Wednesday, May 23, 2018 at 10:00 a.m. in the Carroway Funeral Home Chapel with Fr. Hank Lanik officiating. A memorial service and burial will be held at a date to be determined in Linda’s hometown of Conway, Arkansas.

Linda Marie (Sponer) Nystrom, went to her eternal home with the Lord Saturday, May 19, 2018. She was born February 1, 1966 in Morrilton, Arkansas to the late Mathilda (Freyaldenhoven) and Anthony Sponer.

Linda graduated from St Joseph High School, Conway, Arkansas in 1984. She received an Associate’s Degree in Business from Arkansas College of Technology in 1989. She moved to Lufkin, Texas in 1996. She was employed at the Angelina and Neches River Railroad for over twenty years. She was an avid shopper and could find the best bargains better than anyone else. She had a kind heart and never met a stranger. Her infectious smile and laughter will be greatly missed.

She left to cherish her memory her husband, Rob Nystrom; sister, Nancy Sponer-Daniel and husband Kevin; niece, Emily Daniel; stepchildren, Morgan Kirk, Rylan Nystrom, and Brennan Nystrom of Idaho; and mother-in-law, Ruth Tuski of Oregon.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Tony and Mathilda Sponer of Conway, Arkansas; and grandparents, Elmer and Clara Freyaldenhoven of Conway, and Alex and Adeline Sponer of St Vincent, Arkansas.
