Linda Sue (Gandy) Hutton

Funeral services for Linda Sue (Gandy) Hutton, 71, of Lufkin will be held Wednesday, September 26, 2018 at 2:00 p.m. in the Carroway Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will follow in the Berry Cemetery.

Ms. Hutton was born December 12, 1946 in Lufkin, Texas to the late Effie Nola (Poole) and Willie Edward “Edd” Gandy, and died Saturday, September 22, 2018 at The Joseph House.

Ms. Hutton was a longtime resident of Concord, New Hampshire, moving back to Lufkin just six months ago. She was a highly recognized realtor in the Concord area. She was known to say, “They say if you love what you do, you never work a day in your life!” Ms. Hutton was an avid Red Sox fan and enjoyed boating, snow skiing, and flower gardening. In earlier years she was known for painting.

Survivors include her brother and sister-in-law, Donald and Elaine Gandy of Lufkin; nieces, nephews and spouses, Lesa and Jim Bailey of Colleyville, Chari and J.R. Riggs of Waynesboro, Georgia, Buddy and Garie Lea Gandy of Bald Hill, Donnie and Julie Gandy of Waynesboro, Georgia, Donna and James Smyrl of Lufkin, Danita Gandy and Bret Kimbro of Lufkin, Michael and Vickie Gandy of Huntington, Matt and Janette Gandy of Broaddus; caregivers, Margie Gandy and Alex Bonner; caregiver, friend and business partner, Melanie Anukem; caregiver and great-niece, Whitney Randall; and her spoiled feral cat that moved from New Hampshire with her, Scottie Fitzgerald.

She was preceded in death by her parents; brother and sister-in-law, Billy Charles and Betty Gandy; and best friend, Jean Dineen.

Pallbearers will be Aidan Randall, Jay Smith, Maxx Gandy, Matt Varner, Sam Gandy, Jackson Randall, Connor Gandy, and Colby Gandy.

The family would like to express their thanks and appreciation to the staffs of Affinity Hospice and The Joseph House.

The family will welcome friends and loved ones from 1:00 to 2:00 p.m. Wednesday afternoon prior to the services.
