Linda married Emmett Cox on January 27, 1984, and together they had a family filled with children, stepchildren, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.

Linda was a devoted Christian who served the Lord throughout her life. Her faith was central to who she was, guiding the way she loved her family, cared for others, and walked through life. She had a deep love of music, especially music that lifted up the Lord. Whether worshiping, singing, enjoying karaoke, or sharing laughter with those around her, Linda brought joy, humor, and a lively spirit into the lives of the people who loved her.

She will be remembered as a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, family member, and friend. Her life was woven into the lives of her family, and she will be remembered through her faith, her songs, her stories, her humor, and the many memories carried by those who loved her.

Survivors include her husband, Emmett Cox; her children, David Paul Reed, Laura Denise Steelman, Christina Kaye Wolff, and Angela Dawn Baxter; stepchildren, Robin Leigh Sims, Martha Louise Cox, Terrance Roger Dale Cox, and Taffie Jean St. Clair; and her sister, Laura Agold.
