Lily Mae Slaughter Mott

Graveside services for Lily Mae Slaughter Mott, 76, of Diboll will be held Tuesday, February 27, 2018 at 10:00 a.m. in the Concord Cemetery with Donald Hensley officiating.

Mrs. Mott was born February 5, 1942 in Jacksonville, Texas to the late LaJoyce (Delk) and Weiland Slaughter, and died Saturday, February 24, 2018 in a local hospice facility. She worked alongside her husband at Greyhound Bus in Pine Bluff, Arkansas for many years. Mrs. Mott was of the Missionary Baptist faith.

Survivors include her daughter, Cindy Rhoades of Trinity; stepson and daughter-in-law, Kerry and Dorothy Mott of Allen; brothers and sisters-in-law, Donald and Sandy Hensley of Cedar Park, Marvin and Marina Hensley of Freer, and Freddy and Darlene Hensley of Diboll; and a number of nieces, nephews and other relatives.

She was preceded in death by her father, Weiland Slaughter; mother and stepfather, LaJoyce and Don F. Hensley; and husband, Arthur Horace Mott.
