Funeral services for Lillian Renfro, 83, of Huntington will be held Sunday, August 3, 2025 at 2:00 p.m. in the Carroway Funeral Home Chapel in Huntington with Brother Larry Staggs officiating. Interment will follow in the Renfro Cemetery.
Mrs. Renfro was born May 2, 1942 in Woodville, Texas to the late Hattie (Creel) and R.L. Foxworth, and died Wednesday, July 30, 2025 at her residence.
Mrs. Renfro resided in Lufkin for most of her life. She was a devoted wife and mother. Born the middle child of 15, she was no stranger to hard work. She embraced farm life and found joy in tending her garden. A fiercely independent woman, she approached life with determination and could accomplish anything she set her mind to. She was a member of Harmony Hill Baptist Church.
Survivors include her daughters and sons-in-law, Judy and David Lee of Lufkin, Katherine and Kenneth Soverns of Huntington; son and daughter-in-law, J.T. and Paula Capps of Huntington; grandchildren and spouses, Niki Hammond and John McCarter, Jeremy Warden, Ashley and Diego Horta, Jewell Capps, Savanna Soverns, Kaden Soverns and Abigail Soverns; and numerous great-grandchildren, brothers, sisters, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents; sons, William Capps and Wendell Capps; daughter, Janet Lindsay; and numerous brothers and sisters.
Pallbearers will be Jerry Foxworth, Timmy Foxworth, Keith Foxworth, Donnie Foxworth, John McCarter and Kelly Schory.
Honorary pallbearer will be Cody Edwards.
The family will welcome friends and loved ones from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Saturday evening at the funeral home.
