Private graveside services for Leta Limbrick, 97, of Lufkin will be held at a later date in the Garden of Memories Memorial Park with Brother Vic Bass of Faith Family Church officiating. Cremation arrangements are under the direction of Carroway Funeral Home.

Leta was born in Albany, Kentucky on August 22, 1923 and died in Lufkin, Texas on August 17, 2021. She was the fourth child born to Martin D. Shelley and Lucy May Cross. She was a loved wife, mother, sister, grandmother, and friend. Leta was a member of Faith Family Church.

Leta was preceded in death by her parents; the father of her four daughters, Robert E. Brown; and husbands, William H Boughton and Willie Limbrick. Also preceding her was a daughter, Deborah Guidry; granddaughter, Devon M. Guidry; brothers, Aubrey James and Owen Shelley; and sister, Madeline Leach.

Survivors include her daughters, Sandi Hilton and husband Roy of Lufkin, Texas, Kathleen Duffy and husband Scott of Reading, Vermont, Faith Massingill and husband Curtis of Lufkin; son-in-law, Michael Guidry of Baton Rouge, Louisiana; grandchildren, Hillery Monk of Cypress, Texas, Andy Hilton and wife Gay Nell of Lufkin, Texas, Ian Duffy and wife Jessica of Reading, Vermont, Mandy Duplantis of Baton Rouge, Louisiana, Krissy Beeson and husband Teddy of Baton Rouge, Louisiana; great-grandchildren, Emily Pillows and husband Jeff of Nogalas Prairie, Texas, Rebekah Konorick and husband Victor of Cypress, Texas, Devon Beeson of Baton Rouge, Louisiana; great-great-grandchildren, Navah, Gabriel, and Nathan Duffy of Reading, Vermont, Lota and Bailee Pillows of Nogalas Prairie, and Milana Konorick of Cypress, Texas;  brother, Jay Shelley and wife Brenda of Selma, Alabama; and numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Special blessing and prayers are sent to Dr. Karl Krohn and all those at Southland who loved and cared for Mrs. Leta for a number of years.
