Leshia Rae Wisener

Funeral services for Leshia Rae Wisener, 63, of Lufkin will be held Friday, February 6, 2026 at 10:00 a.m. at Bald Hill Baptist Church with Brother Roger Fancher officiating. Interment will follow at Fielder Memorial Cemetery.

Leshia was born October 30, 1962 in Lufkin, Texas, and died Sunday, February 1, 2026 in a local hospital. She resided in Lufkin most of her life. She first worked for Denum Piano Company and then for the City of Lufkin Engineering Department. She had been employed there for 29 years. She enjoyed the close friendships she had with her co-workers at City of Lufkin.

Leshia had been a member of and served as church pianist at Bald Hill Baptist Church for 30 plus years. She was well known for her talent for playing piano. Leshia loved her Jesus and her Bald Hill Church family.

Leshia loved being “Gram” to her two grandsons, and watching Weston play sports. She often went to the theater to watch movies, so often that she was a member of the Cinemark Movie Club Plus. She was a QVC shopper and a shoe shop-aholic. Leshia enjoyed dancing, baking cakes and pies, drinking coffee, collecting antiques and knickknacks, and playing Solitaire all the time on her phone. She had a heart for animals and adored her dogs. She was always very organized and had great typing skills. Leshia had many talents and will be greatly missed.

Survivors include her daughter and son-in-law, Hailey and Cory Burns of Kosse; son and daughter-in-law, Jordan and Shelley Wisener of Lufkin; grandsons, Weston Burns and David Heston Wisener; mother and stepfather, Audry (Brown) and Paul McCarty of Lufkin; sister and brother-in-law, Regena and Gary Sullivan of Wills Point; nephews, Chad Bradley, Chaz Bradley, and Wade and wife Josi Woods; great-nephew and great-nieces, Ayden, Tyler and Addison; and numerous aunts, uncles, other nieces and nephews, and cousins.

She was preceded in death by the father of her children, David Wisener; father, Emory Williamson; and grandparents, Hess and Vivian Brown, and Irby and Anna Faye Petty.

Pallbearers will be Jordan Wisener, Cory Burns, Weston Burns, Paul McCarty, Wade Woods, Chaz Bradley, and Chad Bradley.

Honorary pallbearers will be Jason Collins, Rory Hassell, Scott Rayburn, Chuck Walker, Carlos Espino, Erick Alamo, Shayne Dickerson, Jeffery Glass, and Eddie Aguilar.

The family will welcome friends and loved ones from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Thursday evening at Bald Hill Baptist Church.
