Leann Marie Willmon

Memorial services for Leann Marie Willmon, 65, of Lufkin will be held Sunday, February 1, 2026 at 3:00 p.m. in the Carroway Funeral Home Chapel with Sister Sheryl West officiating. Cremation arrangements are under the direction of Carroway Funeral Home.

Leann Marie Willmon was born in Pasadena, Texas December 12, 1960 to Wiley “Pete” and Billie Jo (Robinson) Willmon and passed away Wednesday, January 7, 2026 in Houston. Leann was the second born out of five sisters. She was a lifelong resident of Lufkin, Texas where she attended Lufkin schools and worked in the health care industry.

The greatest joy of Leann’s life was her husband, Freddie Lee Ballard, her one and only son, Adrin Read Ballard, and being “Honey” to her honorary daughter, Lacy Rucker and her precious family, Darius Browning, Nevaeh, Madison, and AJ.

Leann’s vibrant personality was impossible to ignore. She loved her flowers, was an amazing cook, and she loved her family and friends fiercely.

Leann is preceded in death by her father and sister, Margaret Carroll (Willmon) Modisette.

She is survived by her husband, Freddie Ballard; son, Adrin Ballard; mother, Billie Jo Willmon; siblings, Brenda German and husband Terry, Andra Terburgh and husband Simon (Johan), and Maxine Bailey and husband Jacob; numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends; and her best friend of a lifetime, Barbra Mitchell.
