Laura Inez Foster

Funeral services for Laura Inez Foster, 99, of Lufkin will be held Sunday, December 30, 2018 at 2:00 p.m. in the Carroway Funeral Home Chapel in Lufkin. Interment will follow in the Zavalla Cemetery.

It is with great sadness that the family of Ms. Foster announces her passing. She was born October 13, 1919 in Zavalla, Texas to the late Laura (Burch) and Joe Hopkins, and passed away peacefully Friday, December 28, 2018 in a local hospital.

Ms. Foster resided in Lufkin most of her life. While able, she was active in the community and her church, Clawson Assembly of God. She spent many years volunteering for the Veterans of Foreign Wars and American Legion. She was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star Lufkin Chapter. Ms. Foster was also supportive to others in need of companionship in their ailing years. She loved to paint, crochet, and read the Word of God.

Survivors include her daughter, Jackie Arnold of Hudson; sons and daughters-in-law, Ronnie and Candy Foster, Perry and Patricia Foster, all of Pasadena; grandchildren, Tracy, Duane, Janelle, Tammy, Ronnie, Jr., Amy Leesa, and Karen; 10 great-grandchildren; five great-great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents; grandson, Perry Foster, Jr.; granddaughter, Beverly Arnold Vincent; great-granddaughter, Makinzie Morgan; father of her children, Jack Foster; four sisters; and three brothers.

Pallbearers will be Tracy Arnold, Duane Arnold, T.J. Hearnsberger, Michael Morgan, Ronnie Foster, Jr., and Ryan Foster.

The family will welcome friends and loved ones from 1:00 to 2:00 p.m. Sunday afternoon prior to the services.
