Larry Joe Watson

Funeral services for Larry Joe Watson, 69, of Lufkin will be held Monday, May 20, 2024 at 11:00 a.m. in the Carroway Funeral Home Chapel with Jimmy Horton officiating. Interment will follow in the Largent Cemetery.

Larry was born May 3, 1955 in Lufkin, Texas to the late Edwina (Fondren) and Joe Ed Watson, and died Friday, May 17, 2024 at Hospice in the Pines.

Survivors include his wife of 23 years, Donna Donnell of Lufkin; daughter, Kristie Watson; son, Laurie Dean Watson and wife Kris; daughter, Heather Watson; daughter, Brandi Havard and husband John; son, Brandon Donnell and wife Jessica; grandchildren, Madison Smith, Sarah Howard, Tyler Howard and wife Maegan with great-grandchild on the way, Scarlet Howard, Dillon Donnell, Neches Howard, Jenayah Watson, Christian Watson, Katy Howard, Tristen Havard, Jasper Donnell, Jaxyn Tant, Koltyn Tant; sister, Judy Tobias; lifelong friend and more like a brother, Bubba Roach; and numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents; stepfather, Glenn Brock; stepmother, Mamie Watson; brothers, Randy Watson, Dean Watson; and sister, Kathy Bruce; and stepsisters, Glenda Bishop and Sharon Skains.

Pallbearers will be Bubba Roach, Jason Christy, Dillon Tobias, Justin Hamman, Haden Terry and Brax Terry.

Honorary pallbearers will be Scott Watson and Sterling Haynes.

The family will welcome friends and loved ones from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m. Monday morning prior to the service.
