Jerry Ray Hill

Funeral services for Jerry Ray Hill, 62, of Sweeny will be held Saturday, March 6, 2021 at 3:00 p.m. in the Carroway Funeral Home Chapel with Michael Henson officiating. Interment will follow in the Whitehouse Cemetery.

Mr. Hill was born October 31, 1958 in Lufkin, Texas to the late Mildred Earline (Cummings) and Maurice Hill, and died Monday, March 1, 2021 at his residence.

Formerly of Lufkin, Mr. Hill had resided in Sweeny for 20 years. He retired from CenterPoint Energy where he was a lineman from 1982-2013. Mr. Hill was a spiritual person, known as a mentor and a giver. He dearly loved his grandchildren. Mr. Hill was a Christian and desired for everyone to know God.

Survivors include his daughters, Brittany Hill of Sweeny and Kristen Hill and fiancé Carl Meuth of Brazoria; son, Justin Hill of Sweeny; grandchildren, Traelon Myles, Madeleine Hill, and Grayson Hill; brother, Dolen Hill of Lufkin; sister-in-law, Judy Hill of Lufkin; and a number of nieces, nephews and other relatives.

He was preceded in death by his parents and brothers, Bobby D. Hill, David Hill, Stevie Hill; and sister, Cathay Hill.

Pallbearers will be Davy Hill, Carl Meuth, Jason Kelly, Kevin Johnson, Kade Owens, and Karson Johnson.

The family will welcome friends and loved ones from 2:00 to 3:00 p.m. Saturday afternoon prior to the services.
