Mr. Havard was born January 9, 1955 in Lufkin, Texas to the late Jimmie Lee (Nerren) and Carl Havard, and died Monday, June 1, 2026 at his residence.

Larry lived a life marked by hard work, loyalty, and a deep love for the outdoors. He proudly served his country in the United States Marine Corps during the Vietnam War as a rifleman and earned distinction as a sharpshooter. His military service was something he carried with quiet pride throughout his life.

After returning home from the war, Larry worked for Brown and Root Construction before eventually finding his place in the logging industry, where he spent the greater part of his working years. He was no stranger to hard labor and built his life around perseverance, grit, and providing for those he loved.

Outside of work, Larry found his greatest peace in the outdoors. He loved net fishing and deer hunting alongside his close friend, “Papoo,” creating memories and stories that lasted a lifetime. He also enjoyed catching wild hogs and tending to cattle. Whether in the woods, on the water, or out in the pasture, Larry was most at home surrounded by nature. He will be dearly missed by those who knew and loved him.
