Larry Allen Berry

Graveside services for Larry A. Berry, 85, of Lufkin will be held Thursday, February 15, 2018 at 10:00 a.m. in the Largent Cemetery with Pat Jones officiating.

Mr. Berry was born October 5, 1932 in Lufkin, Texas to the late Ina (Gann) and G.H. “Hobby” Berry, and died Saturday, February 10, 2018 in Lufkin.

Mr. Berry was a lifetime resident of Lufkin. He served in the U.S. Army and retired from Lufkin Industries Trailer Division. Mr. Berry was known for his gardening. He enjoyed raising cattle, carpentry, duck hunting and reading, and he especially enjoyed spending time with his family. Mr. Berry attended Union Road Church of Christ.

Survivors include his loving wife of 57 years, Bonnie Berry of Lufkin; daughter and son-in-law, Lynette and Donavan Rudd of Lufkin; son and daughter-in-law, David and Danise Berry of Lufkin; sister, Verna Griffith of Lufkin; grandchildren and spouses, Morgan and Jason Enright of Lufkin, Cody and Madisyn Berry of Huntington, Brent and Destinie Berry of Lufkin, Zane Rudd and Cade Rudd, both of College Station, Rene Ewing and Kaitlyn LePage, both of Lufkin; great-granddaughters, June Berry, Korleigh Berry, Camreigh Berry, and Presley Enright; and a number of nieces, nephews and other relatives.

He was preceded in death by his parents and sister, Doris Nell Berry Hammond.

Pallbearers will be Cody Berry, Brent Berry, Zane Rudd, Cade Rudd, Gerald Davis, and Jeff Whitfield.

The family will welcome friends and loved ones from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Wednesday evening at Carroway Funeral Home.
