Lacie Leanne Broderick

Funeral services for Lacie LeAnne Broderick, 15, of Zavalla will be held Friday, November 2, 2018 at 2:00 p.m. in the Zavalla High School Gym with Dr. William Barth officiating. Interment will follow in the Oak Grove Cemetery in San Augustine County.

Lacie was born January 4, 2003 in The Woodlands, Texas to Tonya Truitt-Lord and Richard Broderick, Jr., and died Sunday, October 28, 2018 in San Augustine County.

Lacie had resided in Zavalla since February 7, 2005, when she moved to Zavalla to live with her grandparents. She was a Sophomore at Zavalla High School and played basketball and softball and ran cross country and track. Lacie was a member of First Baptist Church of Broaddus and was involved with the youth group and choir.

Survivors include her grandparents, Brother Barry and Betty Burch of Zavalla; sisters, Kasie Broderick, Kelsey Broderick, Sara Broderick, and Abigail Marie Broderick; brothers, Tyler Broderick, Richard Garry Broderick, Cole Broderick, and Joel Lord, Jr.; uncle whom she loved dearly, Tommy Carrell and wife Carryl; grandfather, Richard Broderick, Sr. and wife Dee; and numerous other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her great-grandmother, Thelma “Mimi” Carrell; and uncle, David Broderick.

Pallbearers will be Robert Williams, Tyler Broderick, Richard Garry Broderick, Wayne Harper, Billy Mudd, Timothy Melton, Tony Burch, and Dre Butler.

Honorary pallbearers will be Cole Broderick and Joel Lord, Jr.

The family will welcome friends and loved ones from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Thursday evening at Carroway Funeral Home in Huntington.
