A Celebration of Life for Kent Wersebe, 62, of Lufkin will be held Saturday, February 22, 2020 at 1:00 p.m. at Eastview United Pentecostal Church. Cremation arrangements are under the direction of Carroway Funeral Home.
Mr. Wersebe was born January 5, 1958 in Crockett, Texas to Bonnie (Smith) and Kenneth Wersebe, and died Thursday, January 9, 2020 at his residence.
A former resident of Kennard, Mr. Wersebe had lived in Lufkin since 2015. He served in the U.S. Army, 82 nd Airborne, and was a truck driver. Mr. Wersebe enjoyed hunting, fishing, and being on the water. He was a member of Eastview United Pentecostal Church.
Survivors include his wife, Elizabeth Wersebe of Lufkin; daughters, DeShonda Durrett of Beaumont and Gabriella Wersebe of Lufkin; sons, Christopher Wersebe and Zachary Wersebe, both of Lufkin; mother, Bonnie Gayle of Lufkin; brothers, Vernon Gayle of Madison, Mississippi and David Wersebe of Houston; sisters, Karolyn Killian of North Carolina and Stacie Silverstein of Houston; and a number of nieces, nephews and other relatives.
He was preceded in death by his father.
