Kenneth Wayne Stahnke

Funeral services for Kenneth Wayne Stahnke, 85, of Nacogdoches will be held Sunday, September 12, 2021 at 4:00 p.m. at Lakeside Bible Church, 18940 Freeport Drive, Montgomery, Texas with Dr. Ken Ramey officiating. Funeral services will also be held Tuesday, September 21, 2021 at 10:30 a.m. at Parkside Church in Solon, Ohio. Interment will follow in the Crown Hill Cemetery in Twinsburg, Ohio.

Mr. Stahnke was born January 12, 1936 in Cleveland, Ohio to the late Sylvia (Pixa) and Howard Maurice Stahnke, and died Tuesday, September 7, 2021 at his residence.

Mr. Stahnke was a machinist at Republic Steel/LTV Steel, retiring after 40 plus years of service. He loved his dogs and hunting, enjoying marksmanship and archery. He enjoyed camping, being outdoors, and building things. He could make anything out of wood or steel. Kenneth was a very fun loving guy. He attended Calvary Baptist Church in Nacogdoches.

Survivors include his daughters, Dawn Champion and husband Andrew of St. Marys, Georgia, Dr. Sheila Hill and husband Dale, Ruth Stahnke, all of Nacogdoches; grandchildren, Kyle and Molly Champion, Colton and Briana Champion, Claire and Garrett Fleming, Rachel Hill, Emily Hill; great-grandchildren, Sylvia Jones and Astrid Fleming; brother and sister-in-law, Keith and Ruth Ann Stahnke of Brunswick, Ohio; and numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents and wife, Joanne Ruth (Biggam) Stahnke.
