Kenneth Loyd Collins

Funeral services for Kenneth Loyd Collins, 69, of Lufkin will be held Saturday, May 11, 2019 at 2:00 p.m. in the Carroway Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Elton Musick officiating. Interment will follow in the Largent Cemetery.

Mr. Collins was born October 21, 1949 in Mount Vernon, Texas to the late Clara (Green) and William Loyd Collins, and died Wednesday, May 8, 2019 in a local hospital.

Mr. Collins was a lifelong resident of Lufkin and was retired from Georgia Pacific as a Truck Driver for over 30 years.

Survivors include his daughters, Trisha Choate and Karla Cutler, both of Lufkin; grandchildren, Mika Bynum, Joshua Henson, Cassie Henson, Linzi Frazier, and Heather Choate; numerous great-grandchildren; sister, Susie Fisher; sister-in-law, Sheila Garner and husband Randy; numerous nieces, nephews, and other relatives; and his dog and best friend, Charlee.

He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Sundi Collins; sister, Lorraine Banks; and son-in-law, Heath Choate.

Pallbearers will be Tren Allen, Perry Henson, Lance Butler, Steve Frazier, Joshua Henson, and Curt Webb.

Honorary pallbearers will be Tillman Mathews, Joe Powell, Gary Latham, Fred Fulton, Greg Montes, Freddy Weeks, and Joey Thomas.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the ASPCA, P.O. Box 96929, Washington, DC 20090-6929 or Humane Society of Angelina County, P.O. Box 472, Lufkin, Texas 75902.

The family will welcome friends and loved ones from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. Friday evening at the funeral home.
