Ken Graham

Funeral services for Ken Graham, 95, of Lufkin will be held Friday, December 6, 2024 at 10:00 a.m. in the Carroway Funeral Home Chapel with Brother David Merritt officiating. Graveside services with military honors will follow in the Mount Zion Cemetery in Trinity County.

Mr. Graham was born April 18, 1929 in Apple Springs, Texas to the late Ruby Pearl (Standley) and Charlie Asbury Graham, and died Monday, December 2, 2024 in a local nursing home.

Ken proudly served his country in the United States Air Force, retiring after 21 years of service. He loved motorcycle riding and high-powered rifle shooting. He was a ham radio operator using the call sign NE5K. Growing up in the outdoors of East Texas, he learned how to shoot rifles and grew to love hunting and fishing. Mr. Graham was a faithful member of McKindree Baptist Church.

Survivors include his son, Jack Ingram and wife Brenda of Natchitoches, Louisiana; daughter, Marla Graham Prouty of Wells; sons, Van Graham and girlfriend Lori Allen of Etoile, John Graham and wife Brenda of Lufkin; daughter-in-law, Pam Graham of Lufkin; 11 grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren; brother, Charles Graham of Apple Springs; and numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Helen Graham; sons, Clell Graham, Joe Graham, Charlie Graham; sisters, Sarah Graham, Emma Joy Graham Briggs; and brother, Thomas Graham.

Pallbearers will be Jack Ingram, John Graham, Van Graham, John Prouty, Charlie Graham, Jr., Josh Ingram, and Richard Prouty.

Honorary pallbearers will be Clell Benton and Mark Benton.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to McKindree Baptist Church Building Fund, 557 McKindree Road, Lufkin, Texas 75901.

The family will welcome friends and loved ones from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Thursday evening at the funeral home.
