Kelly Denise (Hollingsworth) Rich

Funeral services for Kelly Denise (Hollingsworth) Rich, 54, of Hudson will be held Saturday, October 7, 2023 at 3:00 p.m. in the Carroway Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will follow in the Tom Havard Cemetery.

Kelly was born June 14, 1969 in Lufkin, Texas, and passed away Thursday, September 28, 2023 in a local hospital.

Kelly was a very loving and caring wife, mother, daughter, and sister. She never met a stranger that didn’t leave as a friend and a stranger never met her that didn’t have a friend for life.

She grew up and lived all her life in Hudson. As a child she attended Cross Road Baptist Church and accepted Jesus at the age of 12. She attended Hudson ISD and was in the graduating class of 1988. Kelly was an employee of Lufkin Industries for 18 years, starting in the mail room and ending in the trafficking department at Buck Creek Division. She later worked as a home health aide, sharing her compassion, smiles, and laughter with her clients.

She leaves behind her husband, Virgil Rich of Hudson; son, Zachery Goldberg and wife Jordan Goldberg of Pollok; granddaughters, Kenzi Goldberg and Kali Ann Goldberg; grandson, Kooper Goldberg; mother, Patricia Ann (Winthrop) Hollingsworth and Joe Hollingsworth of Huntington; sister, Melisa Hollingsworth of Huntington; brothers and sister-in-law, Dwayne Hollingsworth of Hudson, David and Jerri Vail of Lufkin, and Steven Hollingsworth of Hudson; mother-in-law and father-in-law, Brenda Havard and Mike Seymour of Huntington; stepmother, Johnie Hollingsworth; stepsister, Janet Russell; uncles, William Hollingsworth and Billy Hollingsworth, both of Hudson, and Jerry Hollingsworth of Pollok; and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.

She was preceded in death by her first husband, Sammy Goldberg; father, Tommy Lou Hollingsworth of Hudson, grandparents, uncles and aunts.

Pallbearers will be David Vail, Logan Nair, Mason Nair, Steven Hollingsworth, Jerry Hollingsworth, and Joe Hollingsworth.

Honorary pallbearers will be Dwayne Hollingsworth, Ricky Henson, and Bradley Bonds.

The family will welcome friends and loved ones from 2:00 to 3:00 p.m. Saturday afternoon prior to the services.
