Memorial services for Katy (Speicher) Farrell, 46, of Lufkin will be held Monday, April 14, 2025 at 2:00 p.m. in the Carroway Funeral Home Chapel with Brother Mike Curry officiating. Cremation arrangements are under the direction of Carroway Funeral Home.
Katy was born November 5, 1978 in Port Arthur, Texas to Darla (Funderburk) and Vernon Speicher, and died Tuesday, April 8, 2025 at her residence.
Katy lived in Lufkin, Texas for nearly the entirety of her life, with her parents Vernon and Darla Speicher, and brother Ricky Speicher. She was a friend of many growing up, known for her lively personality and exuberant styles, but above all her signature warm heart. She married her husband Joey Farrell in 2002, and they welcomed Braxton Farrell their first child in 2006, and a daughter, Kyleigh Farrell, in 2011. Always the entrepreneur, she found a career in real estate in 2003, earning multiple sales awards through the years and even holding the office of president of Lufkin MLS in 2012. Learning the business and becoming more experienced and skilled in the trade, and in due course opening her own business. The Agency in 2019. She was also highly involved with the concerns of her children, athletic clubs, academics, anything where her son and daughter were regarded Katy was on the committee and contributing. It is no secret that she loved her kids to the moon and back, and would’ve done anything in the world for their happiness. Her incentive in life was not defined as anything short of purity and grace, selfless love in its most flawless and authentic shape.
Survivors include her husband, Joey Farrell of Lufkin; son, Braxton Farrell of Lufkin; daughter, Kyleigh Farrell of Lufkin; mother, Darla Speicher of Lufkin; brother and sister-in-law, Ricky and Marie Speicher of Montgomery; niece, Maranda Keyes and husband Jimmy of Saratoga Springs, New York; nephew, Ryan Speicher and wife Shelby of Bridge City; mother-in-law, Sally Andrews of Lufkin; brother-in-law, Dock Farrell of Fort Smith, Arkansas; sisters-in-law, Julie and Jaime Farrell of Lufkin; stepsister-in-law, Jennifer Andrews of Lufkin; stepsister-in-law and brother-in-law, Janice and Jerry Hoot; and numerous other nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her father.
The family will welcome friends and loved ones from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Sunday evening at the funeral home.
