Kathryn Marie Couch

Kathryn Marie Couch, 91, of Lufkin died Saturday, June 6, 2026 in a local hospice facility. A private family graveside service will be at Kitchens Cemetery.

Mrs. Couch was born November 27, 1934 in Scranton, Pennsylvania to the late Helen (Lesak) and John Rosaschi. She was a beloved school secretary, known to all as “Miss Kathy”, at Hammond ISD in Hammond, Indiana for many years. Mrs. Couch was a devout Catholic.

Survivors include her daughters, Karen Baranowski of Kentucky, Lori Morrison of Moscow, and Ruth Morrison of Arizona; son, Howard Morrison of Lufkin; grandchildren, Lesley, Karie, Mike, Jackie, and Robert; great-grandchildren, Olivia, Lenny, Hazel, Lola, and Rylie; and numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Kenneth E. Couch, Jr.; one sister; and two brothers.
