Kathleen Spear Baldwin

Graveside services for Kathleen Spear Baldwin, 95, of Houston will be held Thursday, February 7, 2019 at 1:00 p.m. in the Shofner Cemetery with Pastor Mark Newton officiating.

Mrs. Baldwin was born August 5, 1923 in Fort Valley, Georgia to the late Nell (Teuton) and George W. Spear, and died Tuesday, February 5, 2019 at her residence.

Mrs. Baldwin will always be remembered as a true southern lady whose greatest joys were laughter and lively conversation. She never met a stranger, but was genuinely interested in everyone she met, and had a kind, generous heart that was big enough to care for all of them. She attended Ora Missionary Baptist Church in Huntington and Lakewood Baptist Church in Zavalla.

Survivors include her son, James Baldwin, Jr. and wife Susie Chen; and granddaughter, Amanda Baldwin and husband Ian Downes.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 59 years, James Baldwin, Sr.
