Kathey Jean Yount Allen

Graveside services for Kathey Jean Yount Allen, 66, of Diboll will be held Wednesday, August 28, 2024 at 10:00 a.m. in the Gann Cemetery with Pastor Doug Hogsten officiating.

Mrs. Allen was born September 6, 1957 in Lufkin to the late Pauline Elvira (Brookshire) and William Howard “Pete” Yount, and died Friday, August 23, 2024 in a local hospice facility.

Kathey was a member of First Pentecostal Church of Diboll. She worked many years in the health care industry before becoming a security guard at Georgia Pacific in Diboll. Kathey was a loving mother and wife. She enjoyed spending time with her pets, being outdoors, and going to church. Kathey devoted herself to taking care of her family. She will be greatly missed by all who loved her.

Survivors include her daughters and son-in-law, Melissa and Isaac Jamison, Ann Robinson, all of Lufkin; stepsons and daughters-in-law, Shane and Michelle Robinson of Arizona, Tommy and Angie Allen of Shepherd; brothers and sister-in-law, William Yount, Jeff and Tina Yount, all of Lufkin; numerous grandchildren; along with numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents;  her husband Calvin Allen; sister, Elizabeth Yount; and brother, Howard Yount.

Pallbearers will be Isaac Jamison, Tommy Allen, Jeff Yount, Shane Robinson, Garrett Lowe, and Gabriel Munoz.

Honorary pallbearers will be William Yount, Tristan Allen, Arthur Murrell Jones, and Barry Robinson.
