Katherine Gordon

Funeral services for Katherine Gordon, 93, of Huntington will be held Saturday, March 15, 2025 at 10:00 a.m. in the Carroway Funeral Home Chapel in Huntington with Gary Box officiating. Interment will follow in Huntington Cemetery.

Mrs. Gordon was born February 16, 1932 in Burleson, Texas to Ruth Irene (Chambers) and William Benjamin Ford, and died Wednesday, March 12, 2025 at her residence.

Katherine Gordon was a true inspiration to all and is described as a true Warrior for Christ. Katherine loved to cook, sew, quilt, and work in the garden. She loved spending time with her children and grandchildren. She was a good Christian all her life.

Survivors include her husband of 77 years, Tommy Melton Gordon; children, Kathy Box and husband Ronald Box, David Gordon and wife Lyska Gordon, Donna Wilcox and husband Kimball Wilcox, Judy Bean and husband Kenneth Bean, Dirk Gordon, and Shane Gordon; grandchildren, Trevor Box, Davin Box, Darwin Gordon, Leigha Parrish, Randy Boase, Lacretia Owens, Tracie Norman, Sonia Martinez, Shaunna Nolen, Cody Gordon, Derek Gordon, Trey Gordon, and Teagan Gordon; great-grandchildren, Stormy Box, Camryn Parrish, Mykenzie Parrish, Olyver Parrish, Aidan Boase, Austin Boase, Taylor Boase, Ethan Owens, Lillian Owens, Isabella Owens, Piper Norman, Grayson Norman, Ian Warmke, Skyler Tarrant, Brady Nolen, and Richard Nolen, Jr; sister, Iva Ruth Matthews; and numerous nieces, nephews, and extended family.

She was preceded in death by her parents; grandson, Tristan Box; daughter-in-law, Dianna Gordon; and siblings, Joyce Benson, Doris June Jones, Temprance Pergason, and Frank Ford.

Pallbearers will be Brandon Parrish, Teagan Gordon, Edwin Jones, Richard Nolen, Sr., Kimball Wilcox, and Darwin Gordon.

The family extends special thanks to Hospice in the Pines and her special caregivers Danelle, Rosa and Dakotta.

The family will welcome friends and loved ones from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. Friday evening at the funeral home in Huntington.
