Karen Ann Sparks

Memorial services for Karen Ann Sparks, 68, of Magnolia, Texas will be held Tuesday, March 15, 2022 at 4:00 p.m. at Carroway Funeral Home. Cremation arrangements were under the direction of Carroway Funeral Home.

Ms. Sparks was born February 3, 1954 in Yale, Oklahoma to the late Judy (Andrews) and Kenneth Leroy Rowell, and died February 12, 2022 in a long-term health facility in Wells, Texas.

Ms. Sparks had resided in Magnolia for more than 30 years with long time partner, Rodney Fowler. She had an amazing voice and loved to sing. She enjoyed arranging flowers and crafting. Ms. Sparks was a beautician.

Survivors include Karen’s partner, Rodney Fowler of Magnolia, Texas; daughters, Karisa Weigand and husband Michael of Nacogdoches, Texas, Jennifer Shardlow and partner Michael King of Hartlepool, United Kingdom; brother, Kenneth Rowell and wife Pam of Manford, Oklahoma; sisters, LoRee Jones and partner Mark Johnson of Manford, Oklahoma, Robin Johnson and husband Keith of San Antonio, Texas; and numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents and her granddaughter, Jillian.
