Private graveside services for Karen Ann Metteauer, 73, of Lufkin will be held Saturday, October 28, 2017 in the Garden of Memories Memorial Park with interment to follow.
Mrs. Metteauer was born February 20, 1944 in Lamesa, Texas to the late J. D. and Nelma (Robertson) Thompson, and died Thursday, October 26, 2017 in Lufkin.
She had resided in Lufkin for the past 62 years and was a homemaker.
Survivors include her son and daughter-in-law, Richard and Jill Burton of Harrison, AR; daughter and son-in-law, Ashley and Lee Slaughter of Lufkin; grandchildren: Sydney and Jordan Verner, Heather Maxey and Eric Stewart; four great grandchildren; sister and brother-in-law, Drs. Kay and Douglas Bellamy of Plano, TX; brother and sister-in-law, Rocky and Netha Thompson of Lufkin; nieces: Dr. Paige Priddy, Heather Shea, and Alana Eppink; nephew, Jason Burton.
She was preceded in death by her husband, E. Lynn Metteauer.
