June Mcadams

Funeral services for June McAdams of Lufkin will be held Saturday, October 20, 2018 at 10:00 a.m. in the Carroway Funeral Home Chapel with Dr. John W. Greene officiating. Entombment will follow in the Garden of Memories Memorial Park Sunset Mausoleum.

Mrs. McAdams was born January 24, 1949 in Lufkin, Texas to the late Ida Mae (Walker) and Talmage B. “Dank” Allen, and died Tuesday, October 16, 2018 in a local hospital.

Mrs. McAdams was a lifetime resident of Angelina County. She graduated from Stephen F. Austin State University, majoring in Biology, and taught Biology at Lufkin ISD for more than 40 years. She enjoyed interior decorating, and worshipped her grandchildren. Mrs. McAdams was a member of First Christian Church Lufkin.

Survivors include her husband, Hollis McAdams of Lufkin; son and daughter-in-law, Scott and Joyce McAdams of Lufkin; daughter and son-in-law, April and Gary Lawson of Lufkin; grandchildren, Jaeden McAdams, Mattie Brewer, Jazzlyn McAdams, and Julianna McAdams; brother, Randy L. Allen of Lufkin; and nephews, Ronnie Allen and Brad Allen, both of Lufkin.

She was preceded in death by her parents and grandson, Tristan Brewer.

Pallbearers will be Brad Allen, Ronnie Allen, Randy Allen, Robert Brewer, Gary Lawson, and Kevin Johnson.

Honorary pallbearer will be Kenneth Johnson.

The family will welcome friends and loved ones from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Friday evening at the funeral home.
