Julian Lynn Cummings

Graveside services with military honors for Julian Lynn Cummings, 79, of Lufkin will be held Thursday, June 4, 2026 at 10:00 a.m. in the Fielder Memorial Cemetery.

Mr. Cummings was born March 18, 1947 in Lufkin, Texas to the late Doris Elizabeth (McCommas) and Jim Junior Cummings, and died Saturday, May 30, 2026 in a local nursing home.

Julian was a lifelong resident of Lufkin and was a machine operator at Lufkin Industries, retiring after 38 years of service. He proudly served his country in the United States Army and attended Union Road Church of Christ.

Survivors include his sons and daughters-in-law, Clay and Alana Cummings of Lufkin, Timothy and Mary Cummings of Lake Arthur, Louisiana, Steve Cummings of Lufkin; grandchildren and spouses, Abbie and Anthony LeBato, Brittiney and Colten Stewart, Julie and Kaleb La Fleur, Brianna Davis, Makayla Davis; great-grandchildren, Mason, Aubrie Gail, Kesslen, Elodie; nieces and nephews and spouses, Jason and Melissa Easterly, Darby and Shawn Perkins, Cheryl and Richard Mansfield, Wes and Erin Defoyd, Richard and Sharon Cummings, Tammy and Kent Oates, Erin Leeann Defoyd; and numerous other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Gail (Thompson) Cummings; son, Michael Cummings; and brother and sister-in-law, Glenn and Glenda Cummings.
