Judy Bynum

Funeral services for Judy Bynum, 80, of Lakehills, Texas will be held Monday, August 19, 2024 at 10:00 a.m. in the Carroway Funeral Home Chapel with Reverend Ronnie Luman officiating. Interment will follow in Walker Cemetery.

Mrs. Bynum was born October 25, 1943 in Elkhart, Texas to the late Eunice (Gibson) and Robbie Lucas, and died Tuesday, August 13, 2024 in a San Antonio hospital surrounded by her loved ones.

Judy loved life! To know her was to love her. She loved her family, friends and community. Judy loved her politics. She really enjoyed listening to her country music. She was always a generous giver, putting others before herself. She loved giving. Judy lived most of her life in the Lufkin area. Judy and Joe retired to the Texas Hill Country in 2019. She always enjoyed watching her beloved deer and hummingbirds, and of course, the red birds. Judy and Joe enjoyed traveling to and from the Hill Country to their East Texas deer lease. Most of all, Judy loved her Lord and Savior. Joe and Judy enjoyed 65 years, less one week, of a joyful and fruitful marriage.

Survivors include her husband, Joe Bynum, Sr.; children and spouses, Joe, Jr. and Michele Bynum, Gerry Bynum, Jerry Bynum, and Bobbie Jo and Sam Bridges; grandchildren and spouses, Cambierlie and Alex Diaz, Della and Aaron Ginn, Krystella Bynum, Valerie and Jessica Johnson, Jeremy and Ashley Bynum, Annabelle Bridges, and Skylar Leisey; great-grandchildren, Kaleb Nichols, Kole Nichols, Alyssa Ginn, Keaton Nichols, Hazel Ginn, Lillian Ginn, Olivia Bynum, Genevieve Bynum, Aaron Ginn, Jr., and Grace Ginn; and brother, James Lucas.

She was preceded in death by her mother, Eunice Hill; and grandmother, Ruby Camp.

Pallbearers will be Kaleb Nichols, Kole Nichols, Keaton Nichols, Jeremy Bynum, Skylar Leisey, and Alex Diaz.

The family will welcome friends and loved ones from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. Sunday evening at the funeral home.
