Judith Lynn Woodson

Funeral services for Judith Lynn Woodson, 65, of Zavalla will be held Saturday, June 22, 2019 at 2:00 p.m. at Sulphur Springs Baptist Church in Zavalla with Brother Larry Innerarity and Johnny Grounds officiating. Cremation arrangements are under the direction of Carroway Funeral Home.

Mrs. Woodson was born April 25, 1954 in Houston, Texas to the late Yuanita B. (Duke) and Bob Thompson, and died Wednesday, June 12, 2019 at her residence.

Mrs. Woodson had resided in Zavalla since 1987. She was always the life of the party and enjoyed playing with kids, especially her great-grandson Baylon who she was blessed to live with. Mrs. Woodson enjoyed yardwork and gardening, and enjoyed taking care of potted plants. The family requests that any floral remembrances be something suitable for the home, in her memory.

Survivors include her daughters and sons-in-law, Kristi and Tim Jordy of Zavalla and Brandy Ann and Kenneth Woodson of Greensboro, North Carolina; grandson and wife, Dalton and Jessica Jordy and son Baylon Jordy; grandchildren, Kimber and Carter Woodson and Baby Dave Jordy; brother, James Robert Thompson II; sisters, Sharon Ann Hearne, Kathy Ferguson, Debbie Harrelson, and Sandra Raney; and numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives.

She was preceded in death by her parents and husband, Alan “Woody” Woodson.

The family will welcome friends and loved ones from 12:00 to 2:00 p.m. Saturday afternoon prior to the services.
