Joseph Allen "Bud" Daniel

Graveside services for Joseph Allen “Bud” Daniel will be held at 2:00 p.m. Thursday, April 4, 2024, at Garden of Memories Memorial Park.

Mr. Daniel was born April 2, 1935, in Temple, Texas, to the late Joseph Shirley and Elnorie (Allen) Daniel. He died Saturday, March 30, 2024 in Lufkin, Texas at Pinecrest.

Joe attended Lufkin High School and graduated in 1953.

He served as an Air Policeman in the USAF from 1956-60, graduated with a BS in Industrial Arts from Sam Houston State University in 1963, and served in the US Navy reserves from 1965-71.

He met and married Sharon Loden in 1967 and they made their home together in Lufkin for the next 56 years.

He worked for Temple-Eastex in Diboll throughout the 70s before joining Angelina College in 1981 where he maintained the campus facilities until his retirement in 1995.

He was preceded in death by his parents, his sister, Shiree Plummer, and his nephew, Stuart Plummer.

Survivors include his wife, Sharon Loden Daniel of Lufkin, and daughters Julie Elizabeth Daniel of Kortrijk, Belgium, and Jennifer Jill Daniel of Portland, Oregon, and his niece Shiree Schade and husband Mark of Austin.
