Jose K. Vellavoor

It is our profound sorrow to announce the passing of Mr. Jose K. Vellavoor, 70 years old. Funeral services for Mr. Vellavoor will be held Saturday, February 24, 2018 at 10:00 a.m. in the St. Thomas Malankara Orthodox Church, 2112 N. Timberland Drive, Lufkin, Texas, with Reverend Fr. Varghese Thomas officiating. Interment will follow in the Garden of Memories Memorial Park. Visitation will be held from 9:30 to 10:00 a.m. Saturday morning prior to the services at the church.

Mr. Vellavoor was born August 21, 1947 in Chengannur, Kerala, India, to the late Saramma Vellavoor and Joseph Varghese, and passed away Monday, February 19, 2018 at his residence.

Survivors include his wife of 45 years, Valsamma Jose of Lufkin; children, Saju Jose and wife Lisa, Sony Biji and husband Biji, and Koshy Jose and wife Sonia. He is loved by his grandchildren, Aniah and Sanjay Jose, Fabah, Reeba, and Mathew Biji, and Felix and Nathan Jose.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Pallbearers will be Sojan Cherian, Saju Jose, Biji Baby, Koshy Jose, Mathew Biji, Sanjay Jose, Koshy Alexander, Felix Jose, and Eldho Babu.
