Jonathan "Jon" Chambers

Graveside services with military honors for Jonathan “Jon” Chambers, 59, of Zavalla will be held Saturday, January 22, 2022 at 3:00 p.m. in the Chambers Cemetery with Michael Norsworthy officiating.

Mr. Chambers was born August 11, 1962 in Houston, Texas to the late Avy (Hollingsworth) and Franklin Chambers, and died Monday, January 17, 2022 in a hospital in Tyler, Texas. Mr. Chambers retired from the United States Navy after 20 years of service as a Navigations Officer.

Survivors include his sons and daughters-in-law, Bradley and Melanie Chambers of Lebanon Junction, Kentucky, Chris Chambers of Zavalla, Alex and Kim Chambers of Louisville, Kentucky; daughter, Kiersten Chambers of Zavalla; grandchildren, Joey, Destiny, Alyssa, Carsen, Kylee, Nevaeh, Alexis, Taylor; brother, Tim Chambers of Zavalla, and numerous nieces, nephews, and other relatives.

He was preceded in death by his parents and nephew, Taylor Chambers.
