Johnny Wayne Davidson, Sr.

Funeral services for Johnny Wayne Davidson, Sr., 54, of Lufkin will be held Wednesday, April 17, 2019 at 10:00 a.m. in the Carroway Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Charles Williams officiating. Cremation arrangements are under the direction of Carroway Funeral Home.

Mr. Davidson was born January 18, 1965 in Lufkin, Texas to Carolyn Jean (Havard) and the late Albert Wayne Davidson, and died Sunday, April 14, 2019 in a local hospital.

Mr. Davidson was a lifetime resident of Lufkin, owned Angelina AC, and was the air condition license holder for Strickland Plumbing and HVAC. Mr. Davidson was a member of the Lufkin Masonic Lodge #669 A.F. & A.M. He enjoyed fishing, hunting and working his cows. He loved his grandchildren, and many children who weren’t even his loved him and called him PawPaw.

Survivors include his wife, Bonita (Williams) Davidson of Lufkin; daughter and son-in-law, Ashley and John Daniels of Lufkin; son and daughter-in-law, Johnny, Jr. and Catie Davidson of Huntington; grandchildren, Blaine Daniels, Ryder Daniels, Addison Daniels, JessiKate Davidson, and Cooper Davidson; mother and stepfather, Carolyn and Fred Houston of Dublin, Georgia; brothers and sister-in-law, Richard and Shawn Davidson of Lufkin, Larry and Kay Bailey of Wells; sisters and brothers-in-law, Karen and Jerry Atkins, April and Jeff Stratford, all of Dublin, Georgia, Denise and Steve Bridges, and Patricia Withem of Lufkin; aunts, Betty Williams of Lufkin and Delores McFadden of Huntington; uncle, Kenneth Havard; and numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his father, Albert Davidson, stepmother, Linda Davidson, father-in-law, Harold Williams; and brother-in-law, John Withem.

Honorary pallbearers will be Bo Yates, Tony Spivey, Michael Shivers, Cliff Davis, Elbert Pouland, Dakota Emerson, and Robert Cates.

Memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 Saint Jude Place, Memphis, Tennessee 38105.

The family will welcome friends and loved ones from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. Tuesday evening at the funeral home.
