John M. Young Iii

Graveside services for John M. Young III, 75, of Pollok will be held Monday, September 24, 2018 at 2:30 p.m. at Gann Cemetery with Pastor Welton Blackmon officiating.

Mr. Young was born May 25, 1943 in Vernon, Texas to the late Lillie Mae (Baldwin) and John M. Young, Jr., and died Saturday, September 22, 2018 in a local hospice facility.

Mr. Young had resided in Angelina County for more than 25 years. He retired from Vertis following over 24 years of employment. He was a member of Pollok Baptist Church.

Survivors include his wife, Lynn (Fox) Young of Pollok; sons and daughter-in-law, John M. Young IV and Joseph D. and Kelly Young, all of Lufkin; brother and sister-in-law, Terry A. and Dianne Young of Sulphur Springs; and niece and husband, Christina and Marty Pigg of Lufkin.

He was preceded in death by his parents and brother, Danny Royce Young.

Pallbearers will be L.E. Smith, Dennis Norton, Danny Jackson, Gerald Neal, Taylor Brewer, and Jerry Blackmon.

The family will welcome friends and loved ones from 1:00 to 2:00 p.m. Monday afternoon at Carroway Funeral Home.
