Funeral services for John Thomas, 52, of Wells will be held Saturday, March 31, 2018 at 3:00 p.m. at Grace Baptist Church with Brother Elton Musick officiating. Interment will follow in the Pollok Cemetery.

John was born February 20, 1966 in Morgan City, Louisiana to Audrey (Mills) and Ellis Thomas, and died Tuesday, March 27, 2018 in Tyler.

John was a delivery driver for FedEx and he enjoyed woodworking and fishing. He loved his family and they always came first. He loved to help Shannon and adored his grandbabies. John attended Grace Baptist Church.

Survivors include his wife, Shannon Thomas of Wells; daughter, Brittany Richardson and husband Mark of Alto; son, Christopher Thomas of Wells; grandsons, C.J. Richardson of Alto and William Daniel of Pollok; parents, Ellis and Audrey Thomas of Wells; sisters, Kathy Norred and husband Johnny and Linda Rhodes, all of Lufkin; nephew, Josh Richards and wife Sabrina of Lufkin; and numerous other nieces, nephews, and relatives.

He was preceded in death by his sister, Marianne Brown.

Pallbearers will be Mark Richardson, Mike Norred, Josh Richards, Aaron Anderson, Sean Wark, and Wayne Rhodes, Jr.

Honorary pallbearers will be his grandsons, William Daniel and C.J. Richardson.

The family will welcome friends and loved ones from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Friday evening at the church.
