Memorial services for John Louie Sullivan “Cowpoke”, 55, of Corrigan, Texas will be held Saturday, August 16, 2025 at 11:00 a.m. in the Stryker Baptist Church with Brother William “Peanut” Glass officiating. Cremation arrangements are under the direction of Carroway Funeral Home.
John was born January 18, 1970 in Lufkin, Texas to Louie and Rhonda Sullivan, and passed away, Saturday, July 19, 2025 in his residence.
John met his wife Robin of 32 years on the Dogwood Trail Ride in 1990. Where they later married on October 9th of 1993 in Romayor, Texas. In February of 1995 they introduced their oldest son John L. Sullivan, and in December of 1997 they introduced their youngest son Robert William Sullivan into the world.
John spent most of his life driving a truck and operating heavy equipment working with his closest friends at Hughes Trucking. Earlier in the years he enjoyed trucking with his “Little Buddy” Robert even though he catnapped more than copiloted, throwing loops over steers, chasing down cows for neighbors and barring hogs in the piney woods. Later, he enjoyed cutting hay, smoking briskets, and fishing with his oldest son John L. He enjoyed seeing his grandkids run wild and play then winding the day down riding the dirt road with his wife Robin.
Survivors include his wife of 32 years, Robin Sullivan of Corrigan, Texas; sons and daughters-in-law, John L. and Emilia Sullivan of Corrigan, Texas, Robert and Tiffany Sullivan of Diboll, Texas, and Trent and Aimee Greening of Lufkin, Texas; grandchildren, Sara Lynn and Russell William Sullivan, Addalyne, Aimery J, and Tealey Greening; father, Louie Sullivan of Corrigan, Texas; brother, Wes Sullivan; sister and brother-in-law, Jesse and Deidra Leal of Baytown, Texas; mother-in-law, Brenda Mclleland of Romayor, Texas; Nephew, Wyatt Sullivan and Tyler Minx of Oakhurst, Texas; along with numerous other relatives and close friends.
He was preceded in death by his mother Rhonda Sullivan.
The family will welcome friends and loved ones from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m. prior to the services.
