Memorial services for John Elwin “Johnny” Seago, 73, of Corrigan will be held Saturday, May 3, 2025 at 2:00 p.m. in the First Baptist Church Family Life Center in Corrigan with Brother Kelly Havard and Brother Lesly Wilkinson officiating. Cremation arrangements are under the direction of Carroway Funeral Home.
Mr. Seago was born on March 16, 1952 in Corrigan, Texas to the late Elwin V. Seago and Christine (Bradberry) Seago, and passed away on Sunday, April 6, 2025 in Lufkin, Texas.
Johnny loved music and was a talented singer, musician and entertainer who was well known for his “Elvis” act, complete with costume. To him, no one was a stranger - just a friend he hadn’t met.
Survivors include his daughters and sons-in-law, Victoria “Vickie” and Jonathan Graeber of Lufkin, Allona and Cory Haygood of Nacogdoches; grandchildren, Taylor Graeber, Vivian Graeber, Ethan Sloan, Reagan Graeber and Jaclyn Graeber; siblings, Harold Seago of Corrigan, Dianne (Seago) Rumfield of Flour Bluff, Terry Seago and wife Mary Helen of Coldspring; and numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Cathy (Tindall) Seago; brother-in-law, L.D. Rumfield III; and sister-in-law, Reneé Seago.
The family will welcome friends and loved ones from 1:00 to 2:00 p.m. prior to the services.
