John Larry Perkins, Sr.

Graveside services with military honors for John Larry Perkins, Sr., 78, of Lufkin will be held Wednesday, February 5, 2025 at 2:00 p.m. at Pollok Cemetery with Brother Eric Barton officiating.

Mr. Perkins was born March 21, 1946 in Tupelo, Mississippi to the late Mamie (Waldrip) and John William Perkins, and died Saturday, February 1, 2025 in a local hospital. He served in the U.S. Navy.

Survivors include his sons and daughter-in-law, John and Tammy Perkins, and James Brown; grandchildren and spouses, Ashley and Caleb Toll, Autumn Perkins and Eric Senkyrik, John “Payden” Perkins, Alyk Perkins, Khloe Perkins, Kaysen Perkins, and Cody and Dixie Lee; and numerous great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Peggy (Milligan) Perkins; and daughter, Stacey Brown.

Pallbearers will be Alyk Perkins, Payden Perkins, Eric Senkyrik, James Brown, Caleb Toll, and John Perkins, Jr.

The family will welcome friends and loved ones from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. Tuesday evening at Carroway Funeral Home.
