John Allen Hairston

John Allen Hairston, 56, of Lufkin died Friday, June 26, 2026 in Longview, Texas. Cremation arrangements are under the direction of Carroway Funeral Home.

John was born November 20, 1969 in Fort Benning, Georgia to Evie Lee (Moran) and Emmett Herman Hairston.

John had resided in Lufkin most of his life and was a truck driver. He was a good son and loved his family. He enjoyed working outside in the yard and was an avid gardener.

Survivors include his children, Codiac Crumpler of Arkansas, Brittany Nicole Maestas of Arkansas, John Wareham, Austin Wareham; mother and stepfather, Evie and John Moore of Lufkin; sister, Patricia Cochran and husband Michael of Illinois; nephew, Shawn Cochran of Indiana; niece, Sabrina Cochran of Illinois; uncle, Joe Moran of Lufkin; aunt, Barbara Moran of Lufkin; and numerous other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his father and his brother, Roger Hairston.
