John W. Foster

Private graveside services for John W. Foster, 77, of Lufkin will be held in the Walker Cemetery with Pastor Steven Sanders officiating.

Mr. Foster was born April 10, 1942 in Los Angeles, California to the late Lillian Lavern (Adams) and Woodrow Vernon Foster, and died Thursday, January 30, 2020 at The Joseph House in Lufkin.

Mr. Foster had resided in Lufkin for 27 years. He was employed by Vetco for more than 40 years and was a Sales Manager. He enjoyed gardening and woodworking. He was very loving and caring. Mr. Foster was a faithful servant of the Baptist faith and would attend O’Quinn Baptist Church.

Survivors include his wife of 38 years, Margaret L. Foster of Lufkin; son, Randy Welch and wife Elaine of Menard; daughter, Becky Haverland and husband Rodney of Lufkin; numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren; and numerous other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents; son, Judson Welch; and daughter, Debbie Haverland.
