John Henry Day

Graveside services for John Henry Day, 78, of Huntington will be held Thursday, September 4, 2025 at 10:00 a.m. in Huntington Cemetery with Reverend Elton Arnold officiating.

Mr. Day was born June 1, 1947 in Fort Worth, Texas to the late Nellie Beatrice (Lacy) and Fred Terrell Day, and died Monday, September 1, 2025 in a local nursing home.

John resided in Hurst, Texas prior to moving to Huntington. While in Hurst he worked for the LD Bell Book Depository for HEB ISD in the Dallas area, which he retired from. John was a member of Salem Missionary Baptist Church in Huntington.

Survivors include his daughter, Jenny Ann Day, who resides in the Lufkin Living Center, along with numerous cousins in the area.

He was preceded in death by his parents and his sisters, JoAnn Blackwell and Nelda Ann Day.
