Joe Thomas Crawford, Sr.

Graveside services for Joe Thomas Crawford, Sr., 87, of Lufkin will be held Friday, January 7, 2022 at 10:00 a.m. in the Pollok Cemetery with Pastor Tanner Crawford officiating.

Mr. Crawford was born December 11, 1934 in Keltys, Texas to the late Margaret (Sikes) and John Thomas Crawford, and died Tuesday, January 4, 2022 at his residence.

Mr. Crawford was a lifetime resident of Lufkin. He served in the U.S. Army and retired from St. Regis Paper Mill following over 41 years of employment. He was of the Baptist faith.

Survivors include his sons and daughter-in-law, Stephen Harrison of Etoile, Joe Thomas Crawford, Jr., and Kevin Lee and Rebecca Crawford, all of Lufkin; grandchildren, Savannah, Stevie, Erika, Tanner, Christopher, and Carson; six great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces, nephews, and other relatives.

He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Barbara Jean (Stephens) Crawford; son, Kit Harrison; sisters, Ethel Mae Morgan and Beverly Harris; sisters-in-law, Lola Bell Wyatt and Anna Ruth Wesley; and brother-in-law, W.W. Stephens.

Honorary pallbearers will be Albert Vinson, Jay Vinson, Tanner Crawford, Christopher Harrison, Kelly Wesley, and Carson Harrison.
