Joe Calvin Marshall

Graveside services for Joe Calvin Marshall, 68, of Pollok will be held Tuesday, April 16, 2024 at 2:00 p.m. in the Garden of Memories Memorial Park with Brother Keith Bickley officiating, with masonic rites under the auspices of the Lufkin Masonic Lodge #669 A.F. & A.M.

Mr. Marshall was born June 6, 1955 in Jacinto City, Texas to the late Effie Colvin (Richardson) and Calvin Sherrill Marshall, and died Saturday, April 13, 2024 in a local hospital.

Mr. Marshall was a retired mail carrier from the United States Postal Service. He also retired as Senior Transmission Lineman from Texas Power & Light and had been a truck driver. After retiring from the postal service, he drove a school bus for Central ISD. Mr. Marshall was a 32nd degree mason with the Lufkin Masonic Lodge #669 A.F. & A.M. He was of the Baptist faith.

Survivors include his sons and daughter-in-law, John Calvin and Misty Marshall of Pollok, and Steven Ryan Marshall of Baton Rouge, Louisiana; grandchildren, Trent Marshall, T.J. Marshall, Karis Marshall, Jayci Marshall, and Tayla Marshall; four great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents; sister, Janet Dixon; and brother, Thomas Marshall.

The family will welcome friends and loved ones from 1:30 to 2:00 p.m. Tuesday afternoon prior to the services.
