Jimmy Lon Mathis

Memorial services with military honors for Jimmy Lon Mathis, 83, of Hudson will be held Monday, April 9, 2018 at 2:00 p.m. in the Carroway Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Ty Phillips officiating. Cremation arrangements are under the direction of Carroway Funeral Home.

Mr. Mathis was born August 31, 1934 in Waxahachie, Texas to the late Mona Opal (Cassels) and Athie Lloyd Mathis, and died Sunday, April 1, 2018 at his residence.

Mr. Mathis served in the U.S. Army and retired from LyondellBasell Industries.

Survivors include his wife, Carol Mathis of Hudson; daughters and sons-in-law, Monte and Erwin Brown of Houston, Lonette and Chris Navarro of Hudson, Janie Mathis of Houston, and Monica and Tom Drews of Milwaukee, Wisconsin; son and daughter-in-law, Anthony and Kathy Mathis of Noblesville, Indiana; grandchildren and spouses, Bryan and Stephanie Martinez, Jeffery and Bianca Brackin, Christopher and Dana Navarro, Tyler Mathis, Samantha Mathis, Christina Mathis, Anthony Mathis, and Dana Martinez; nine great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.

He was preceded in death by his parents and brothers, Jackie Mathis and Robert Mathis.
